This Friday’s recommendations for weekend fun begin with the Seattle Boat Show which takes place both indoors (at CenturyLink Field Event Center) and out (at South Lake Union marinas). The 10-day show sounds as big as ever, with seminars, displays, activities — and of course, a flotilla of boats for boarding. If you’re more the land-lubbing type, gather up your little crew for the Children’s Film Festival Seattle . It’s a pretty good deal: Screenings are just $7 for kids, $10 for adults, and there are more than 100 movies to choose from. Presented annually by Northwest Film Forum, the festival includes screenings of shorts and feature-length films; animations and live-action movies; comedies, dramas and documentaries — including many award-winners from competitions worldwide.
